Traditional 2D imaging provides surgeons some level of confidence during surgery. Whether it be confidence in their lateral and medial margins relative to their specimens or slight assurance that their area of interest is central to their specimens; however, uncertainty appears when surgeons want to evaluate their anterior and posterior margins. 2D Imaging only provides surgeons with a projection of their specimens resulting in lost information about the extent of calcifications near the anterior & posterior edge.

In this on-demand webinar Dr. Greenwalt will share his insights on why 3D tomosynthesis in the operating is the new gold standard of care in breast cancer surgery. Dr. Greenwalt will provide real cases where he utilized 3D tomosynthesis and discuss the capability that this technology provided him in real-time.
