With five times the imaging area of the Faxitron® CoreVision®, the XPERT® 20 Core Specimen Radiography System captures the most cores in a single image. It also takes up thirty percent less bench space and needs no specialized containers, freeing up valuable space in the biopsy suite.
A breast biopsy can be a stressful moment, and the uncertainty after the procedure is often the hardest part. The XPERT® 20 provides immediate confirmation that the targeted microcalcifications are captured within the biopsy cores, right in the procedure suite.
When the target is confirmed before the patient leaves, there is greater confidence that the right tissue was obtained, reducing the likelihood of additional procedures or a return visit. Less uncertainty, fewer delays, and a more reassuring experience for the patient.

Microcalcifications are often the only sign anything is there, and a benign result means little if you cannot confirm they were captured. The XPERT® 20 confirms the targeted microcalcifications are in the biopsy cores, right in the suite. If they are not there, more cores can be taken immediately.
A mammography machine right next to your suite is still out of the room. The specimen travels, someone reads it elsewhere, and the patient stays under compression until they do.
Sharing the mammography unit was the workaround when nothing else existed. A dedicated system in the biopsy suite confirms core retrieval at the table, keeps the patient's compression time to a minimum, and leaves the mammography unit for the patients scheduled on it. Once a suite works this way, going back feels like a step down.
