Intraoperative specimen imaging has been a part of The American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) toolbox for the past several years, however, not all facilities utilize this technology in their operating rooms. Some hospitals and outpatient surgery centers opt for their specimens to be taken to radiology services or a breast imaging department at another location. Although the specimens will be imaged, the question to ask is how long and how many resources will this take?

Listen to this on-demand webinar with breast surgeon Dr. Kandace McGuire from Massey Cancer Center (VCU) as she discusses why her facility decided to invest in intraoperative specimen imaging.
