The goal of intraoperative digital breast tomosynthesis is to provide surgeons with as much information as possible at the time of surgery. Some might even say that the goal is to be as sensitive and specific as the information obtained by intraoperative pathological gross analysis. Digital breast tomosynthesis is able to achieve this equal to sensitivity and greater than specificity because it detects the location of positive margins and provides targeted excision of additional tissue.

Watch this on-demand webinar with breast surgeon Dr. Ralph Corsetti from Tulane University School of Medicine, where he discusses how he utilizes digital breast tomosynthesis at his practice. Dr. Corsetti will present two cases where DBT was used and the benefits that he experienced.
